This issues’s CTA - Call To Action:
Since I launched Harlem Queen in 2019, I’ve been quite proud of how I have managed to secure grants, patrons, donations, ad sales, sponsors and even a licensing fee from Penn State to not only earn back my initial investment in my work, but to also earn money to make more episodes of Harlem Queen, 1972 and The Courtship of Mona Mae.
After four years, all of the funds have been spent and I am starting from scratch and could use your help. If you are able, please donate to my patreon: patreon.com/harlemqueen OR if you would rather make a one-time contribution, here is my Cashapp handle: $YhaneSmith. No amount is too small (or too large) and your contribution will be put to good use. Thank you!

Why do I enjoy this show?
First of all, it’s about a young woman from New Jersey. I’m from Jersey and support all us Jersey folk; from Whitney to Frank (Sinatra) to Lola (Falana)…and sometimes Bruce (Springsteen).
Most importantly, I have always been fascinated with spiritual work or the spiritual realm. Carmen tells us about her grandmother who was a spiritual advisor. Carmen makes this complicated world so easy to understand. Her grandmother’s work was truly her calling. Turns out, I’ve been doing spiritual stuff all my life, but didn’t realize it was spiritual stuff, you know what I mean?
